A/N: I hope you like it yun_miyake! This fic took me way longer than expected, and ended up being more than twice the length I'd expected it to be. After trying out four other plots I finally settled on this one... It's probably my most expansive plot for a one shot yet... I hope you like it. It also took a bit of effort to avoid the swear words and Sakuraiba... But I hope you like the way it turned out. A shout out to my beta, you know who you are, thanks for the correcting all my silly mistakes! Lastly, to everyone else, I hope you enjoy the fic!

1) When I say residents, I'm referring to this definition: a medical graduate engaged in specialized practice under supervision in a hospital.
2) Tamagokake gohan: a simple Japanese meal consisting of a raw egg on rice.

Ok, a 'short' break on The Chronicles ended up being not so short after all. I apologise! I'm still committed to the fic though! In fact, I've actually (just) started writing down on paper, planning the storyline out. I doubt I'll be able to get a new chapter out today... It'll take me a while to get things sorted out and back in order... But at least I'm getting back on track! RL has been pretty... Stressful the past few weeks. I *think* the worst is over now... But I guess I won't truly feel relaxed until I start on my new job!

So that's the reason why I've not been writing in a while. Hopefully the next time I post here it'll be a fic update! :P

To everyone who has been waiting for an update of The Chronicles... I'm afraid I'll have to skip a day or two (or three? :X) of posting. I do have a load of pre-written chapters, but I'm actually re-writing each chapter before posting... Making the story better, more in depth, more logical, or just generally adding in more details.

Things have been pretty hectic IRL for me, loads of changes going on... Including a change of mood to be a little more social. Had dinner and went out till really late with my sis today (well, yesterday), and have a bunch of meetings over the weekend. And it just so happens that the story has reached a point where I need a little more time to think things through, to set the tone for many many chapters ahead... Yeah... Basically. I think if I don't write the next few parts properly... The story can end up being pretty screwed up.

Also all that RL stuff, job search and all has taken quite the toll on me...

Will be back asap! For now I just want to catch up with my lack of sleep...

We'll see if I can do some writing/thinking tomorrow morning.

Thanks to all who have been following the story so far! And those who complain about the short chapters, I totally get you... Maybe next time round I'll be able to write a more... Proper chaptered fic with actual long chapters...? Though with my recent edits I do have some slightly longer ones but yeah... It's generally still very short, I know.
